Journalist Accreditaton
Conditions for accreditation of journalists
Accreditation entitles Czech and foreign journalists to:
Free entry to the Exhibition Centre
Use of PRESS services
Free parking in the EXPO PARKING building (if the Press Centre is located in Hall E) or in front of Hall P (entrance through Gate 8 or 9 if the Press Centre is located in Hall P)
Obtaining BVV press releases and other information and materials according to the Press Centre's offer (such as a trade fair catalogue - usually one per editorial office)
Ordering illustrative photographs (the number may be limited)
Use of the cloakroom and lockers for journalists.
Accredited journalists are provided with a "PRESS" badge, which must be worn visibly. The PRESS badge does not entitle access to other events (namely social) taking place during the fair.
Only journalists covering news or happenings from the currently running trade show are accredited; other media personnel (photographers, technical staff of TV and radio stations) are provided with a "SERVICE" badge allowing free entry to the Exhibition Centre. The "SERVICE" badge must also be worn visibly, and does not entitle access to other events (namely social) taking place during the fair.
Advertising sales agents, secretarial staff of editorial offices, and employees of companies and institutions that do not publish information in the media, are not entitled to accreditation.
An employee or collaborator of an editorial office is required to prove their affiliation to the editorial office either by a valid Syndicate of Journalists card and at the same time a credential or a card of the editorial office, or only a credential or a card of the editorial office. These documents cannot be replaced by a business card. Freelance journalists must indicate on the accreditation application the media for which they work.
The accreditation administrator, or the PR and advertising manager in charge, may ask for verification of the information on the card or credentials. In the case of printed media, it will be sufficient to show a recent issue of the magazine where the accreditation applicant is mentioned in the masthead. Otherwise, confirmation from a senior editorial staff member sent to akreditace@bvv.cz will be required. If this email cannot be requested by the accreditation applicant in person, the accreditation administrator may do so by phone.
The submission of the above documents is a basic requirement for the accreditation; however, it does not automatically entitle the applicant to the accreditation.Every journalist must be accredited at least three days before the event via the Internet. On the basis of this application, their application will be assessed, and they will receive a notice about the granting of accreditation by e-mail.
In order to obtain a journalist's accreditation, it is necessary to comply with the health and safety conditions for entry to the premises and to comply with the visitor regulations at all times. In case of violation of the visitor regulations, the accreditation will be withdrawn without compensation.
Journalists who have not visited any of our trade fair events in the last year, and are therefore not listed in the database, should send (to the e-mail akreditace@bvv.cz) either a photocopy of a valid Syndicate of Journalists card, or a credential or a card of the editorial office with a stamp, or a recent issue of the periodical where the accreditation applicant is mentioned in the masthead. Business cards are not accepted as supporting documents for accreditation!
Verification of each entry in the database of accredited journalists in the above manner takes place at least once a year.
The decision to grant accreditation is made solely by the PR and advertising manager in charge of the relevant project, not by the accreditation office staff. The accreditation office is meant as the office where a journalist obtains accreditation.
Journalists can always contact the PR and advertising manager in charge of the relevant trade fair event.
