HAIŠMAN Sewing Center: Sewing with Our Machines Will Be Fun

At their booth, you’ll find dozens of machines ready for you to try out yourself. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced sewist, you’ll enjoy testing a variety of sewing and embroidery machines, overlockers, and coverlockers. “We even offer visitors the chance to bring their own fabrics—ones they might be struggling with at home—and try them out on our machines here. It’s always best to test machines in person rather than buy them blindly online. The number of built-in programs doesn’t matter as much as the machine’s construction and whether it meets your needs,” explains Pavel Kocian. He adds, “Even a beginner can create high-quality results with a good machine, without getting frustrated.”

A big highlight this year is the BABY LOCK Primo, a machine for lingerie stitching. This amazing machine features a groundbreaking innovation in the world of home sewing: exclusive top and bottom cover stitches. “It’s like two machines in one. The patented BABY LOCK system uses unique threading guides—think of them like little windshield wipers—that make threading super easy and reliable. It automatically adjusts to the thread and fabric, so all you have to do is thread with air and start sewing. The rest is handled by the machine itself,” says Pavel Kocian.

During the Brno Patchwork Meeting 2025, you can also join an on-site workshop with Monika Brýdová at the HAIŠMAN booth. You’ll sew your own scissor case, a card wallet, a rope coaster—or even a napkin with your kids.
