Lenka Přesličková: the teddy bear as a work of art

I am a textile artist with a unique focus. Since 2012, I have been creating artistic teddy bears for collectors. I am a teddist.
I work with materials such as mohair and viscose. I make replicas of First Republic teddy bears, characterized by distinctive features like a hump behind the neck and an elongated snout. The smallest teddy bear I’ve made measures just 6 cm and has five joints.

I also sew elephants, hedgehogs, foxes, sheep, and goats. Occasionally, I take part in art competitions. I am the proud holder of ten awards. In 2023, I won 1st place in the "Miniature Teddy Bear" category at Doll Prague. In 2025, I exhibited my work in the Netherlands and in Riga, Latvia.
