The most successful trade show focused on strengthening defense and security took place at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The 18th IDET international fair, together with the PYROS and ISET fairs, was a comprehensive showcase of new technologies and options for countering various security risks. This year, more than 650 exhibiting companies from 35 countries were featured and over 35 thousand visitors visited the fairs in the course of three days.

The new Czech Pandur 8x8 EVO vehicle, presented by Tatra Defence Vehicle, a CSG Group company, had its world premiere at IDET. It is not just a vehicle, but an entire modular platform with its own ecosystem, in the development and production of which the Czech Republic participates in more than two thirds. The symbolic christening was performed by the Czech Defence Minister Jana Černochová, who bravely hit the world's newest vehicle with a stream of champagne in front of a crowd of journalists.

For three decades, MI.OPTICS s.r.o. has been a stable partner for optical practices both in the Czech Republic and abroad. At OPTA 2026, Medista will present the innovative Dr. Noon solution by Mediwhale. This AI-powered software evaluates individual cardiovascular risk from a fundus image within one minute and simultaneously flags suspected serious eye conditions. Opticians can thus expand their services with a modern, non-invasive preventive screening offering high added value.

EYE 2000 is celebrating 30 years together with the OPTA trade fair and will present collections that reflect its motto “We love glasses.” Visitors can look forward to new design lines from MIDO, creative lenses from the Atelier Kreativ, and distinctive brands such as Löki, Zenka, Minima, and Acid – all with a focus on innovation, unconventional materials, and unique style.

At OPTA, ZEISS Vision Care will present its new portfolio of premium ZEISS ClearMind lenses featuring NeurOptix technology, designed to expand clear vision zones and reduce cognitive load. The fully integrated VisuRef 1000 diagnostic device for precise refraction and vision optimization using ZEISS i.Scription technology will also be showcased.

SP OPTIK and SP NEXT are modern information systems for managing optical practices – available in both cloud-based and on-premise versions. They enable easy processing of ePoukaz, provide clear performance insights, and support business growth through automation and smart features.

In 2026, the WOODTEC trade fair will return to the Brno Exhibition Centre, taking place from 6 to 9 October concurrently with MSV and the IMT, PROFINTECH, PLASTEX, WELDING, and FOND EX trade fairs. This strong combination of industrial events creates a unique environment for cross industry collaboration and offers new opportunities for visitors and exhibitors across multiple manufacturing sectors.
