LPP: Specialist in modular solutions for ground and air forces

March 28, 2025  /  12:37 PM

LPP is a Czech company that specializes in modular solutions for land and air forces. It is part of LPP Holding, which brings together technology-focused companies and enables close links between development and production in the military and civilian sectors. Visitors will be able to see the new HORNET unmanned vehicle with fully autonomous navigation and a yet to be announced aerospace product that features a groundbreaking system.

From the new HORNET vehicle with fully autonomous navigation up to ARCHER optoelectronic products

The HORNET vehicle is classified as an UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) and can be adapted for various types of missions, such as logistics, reconnaissance and, last but not least, rescue missions under CBRN conditions. The greatest advantage is the advanced navigation system that combines LiDAR, inertial navigation and object recognition. This allows it to navigate in unfamiliar and challenging terrain without the need for prior mapping. In addition, LPP will exhibit vetronics devices, which are also used by the Czech Armed Forces vehicles, C4 ISR combat management systems and ARCHER optoelectronic products for targeting and reconnaissance in challenging conditions.

Digital twin: Future Building Security

For the civilian sector, companies from LPP Holding have developed a system that enables tracking of subjects in a digital twin of real space. The tracking is based on advanced AI image processing and enables real-time recognition of people. The system can also identify masked faces, selected objects and behavioural patterns. It is therefore possible to quickly locate an unauthorized person and detect the presence of a weapon or physical assault. The 3D environment of the digital twin makes it easy to navigate the area and allows real-time monitoring of events across the entire building.

Modern digital avionics

LPP has long been active in the field of aviation since the production of analogue instruments. Nowadays, it offers modern digital avionics, which is part of, for example, the Aero L-39NG. Specifically, this aircraft includes the LPP Mission computer platform for flight systems control and the ESIS backup instrument. The company also offers an EFIS multifunction display, inertial units and diagnostics. The portfolio has recently expanded to include a cloud seeding system based on SMS principles.

Visitors can also look forward to the unveiling of a new product that changes the status quo of unmanned vehicle navigation.
