MCAE Systems: Additive technologies for rapid spare parts production

April 3, 2025  /  9:50 AM

For 30 years, MCAE Systems has been offering industrial 3D technologies for prototyping, serial production of functional parts, quality control or automation of production processes for the manufacturing, aerospace, automotive and defence industries. They offer reliable and proven solutions in the field of 3D printing from certified thermoplastics, composites and metals, where we can quickly and efficiently create functional prototype parts and complex custom components that meet the highest standards of precision, durability and reliability.

They will present their innovations and examples of the use of additive technologies in the defence industry at IDET in Hall P.

Presentation of real applications from practice

At IDET, MCAE Systems will be presenting several real-world applications for companies such as Excalibur Army, which use 3D printing from plastics for the rapid production of prototypes, small batches or direct spare parts and components.

Czech Small Arms, on the other hand, has used metal 3D printing for efficient production of prototype parts to speed up the development of a new pistol and test its functionality in the shortest possible time.

Novelty: Wire Laser Metal Deposition technology

A new feature this year will be the introduction of Wire Laser Metal Deposition technology, which can be used for fast 3D printing of large metal parts from commonly available welding wires, either for functional prototyping or spare parts production. Once integrated with an industrial robot, repairs to damaged components or welding of new functional surfaces and customization of existing parts can be performed directly on the battlefield.
