3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies are used not only in prototyping and development, but also in the production of components for military equipment, spare parts, for repairing older or damaged components, or for laser welding functional features and surfaces for rapid customization.
For 30 years, MCAE Systems has been offering industrial 3D technologies for prototyping, serial production of functional parts, quality control or automation of production processes for the manufacturing, aerospace, automotive and defence industries.
At IDET, they will be introducing a new feature - Wire Laser Metal Deposition technology, which can be used for fast 3D printing of large metal parts from commonly available welding wires, either for functional prototyping or spare parts production.
Once integrated with an industrial robot, repairs to damaged components or welding of new functional surfaces and customization of existing parts can be performed directly on the battlefield.
To find out more, meet them at their booth in Hall P at IDET 2025.
