Digital Factory 2.0 at MSV 2024: Gateway to the future of industry

September 6, 2024  /  9:50 AM

Digital Factory 2.0 is one of the main attractions of the 65th anniversary edition of the International Industrial Fair, scheduled to take place from 8 to 11 October 2024 at the Brno Exhibition Centre, bringing together the latest digitalisation and industrial automation trends and technologies in one place.

Digitalisation and automation have become crucial success factors for modern industrial enterprises. Flexibility in production systems, and the ability to respond quickly to changes, are vital to ensure competitiveness. At the same time, the focus is on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Innovation at hand

This year, the Digital Factory 2.0 project will give MSV visitors a glimpse into the future of industrial production for the fifth time. "The importance of this topic is underlined by the participation of leading companies and institutions dedicated to the transformation of production processes using innovative technologies. In Hall F, they will present their solutions that are fundamentally changing the face of today's manufacturing and moving it towards greater flexibility, efficiency and sustainability," says Michalis Busios, MSV Director.

Top technologies and partners

The Gold Partner of the Digital Factory 2.0 project is the National Centre for Industry 4.0. Together with RICAIP Testbed Prague and the companies KUKA, Siemens, Česká spořitelna, Smart Informatics, T-Mobile, Deprag, DEL and the EIT Manufacturing European innovation community, the centre will present solutions for efficient, sustainable and innovative industrial production on an area of more than three hundred square metres under the common motto "Better thanks to...".
Hence, visitors will be able to consult in one place not only innovations and technologies but also their funding, including grant options. RICAIP Testbed Prague will showcase an exhibition concept based on three separate robotic cells, which are interconnected by a system of data collection and subsequent analysis. This is a real application of Industry 4.0 that will connect several partners from the commercial and academic spheres. In one of the robotic cells, two KUKA robots will conduct the so-called retrofitting of retired battery modules on a scaled-down model battery from an electric car. Concerning real batteries, these modules can serve, for example, as backup power sources for households. Another cell will demonstrate a machine vision and learning system that allows robots to manipulate various objects. The popular second-generation robotic draft beer dispenser will also be on display. All systems will be connected to a robust industrial 5G network by T-Mobile.

New products by companies from Digital Factory 2.0

More than 30 companies will be represented at Digital Factory 2.0 this year. Asseco CEIT will present its F800AP AGV System with advanced navigation capabilities and safety features to increase productivity and optimize logistics processes. Bartech will show its xMost MES systém, which allows real-time monitoring of production and immediate response to non-standard situations such as long downtimes or unusual energy consumption.

The Ostrava-based company MICROSYS will present its PROMOTIC SCADA system, which offers advanced functions for visualisation, monitoring and control of technological processes.
Poland-based EUROTRONIC has developed advanced software for maintenance and repair management, which allows planning, monitoring and analysing of all aspects related to the maintenance of machinery and equipment.

The company Gedis Distribution will be presenting its Proficy CSense, a productivity improvement solution that can monitor, analyse, predict, simulate and optimise set process parameters. QPAG Digital will present an exhibit for 100% visual inspection using AI and linking the capabilities of the 7-axis Kassow cobot to deliver an exceptional and fast solution for serial production. There will also be Colonnade Insurance, a non-life insurance company whose domain is cyber risk, insurance for executives, or property and operation disruption insurance.

Czech startup with global ambitions 4dot will also be present. Its attraction will be the PM3 vibration sensor and patented tensiometer, developed specifically for forming machines. Unique logistics systems and technologies for streamlining and optimizing logistics processes for production and warehouses will be presented by the company Bossard. The company dataPartner specializes in the supply and implementation of information and control technologies. Highly innovative solutions based on machine vision and artificial intelligence, reducing the number of injuries in the workplace, are brought to the industrial safety market by Invanta. The Digital Factory 2.0 will also feature JOBka, a mobile app that makes it possible to communicate with employees in a modern, amusing, sustainable, easy and quick way.

Visitors will also get acquainted with the offer of the companies Act-in CZ, AMCEF, Asseco Solutions, Central European Automation Holding, Easy Software, ELA Blockchain Services, HARDWARIO, ITeuro, KPB Intra, MCAE Systems, Raynet, Siemens Digital Industries Software, Software 602 and Sudop CIT.

The stand of the Electrical and Electronic Association of the Czech Republic will also be part of the event, and companies such as Beckhoff Automation, Visometry and Compas Automation will also present themselves near the Digital Factory.
