International Industrial Fair

The prestigious MSV 2024 Gold Medal competition is entering its 59^th edition once again with the aim of appraising the most innovative and most interesting exhibits presented at the MSV. This year, there will be several new features and changes in the content and administrative part of the competition, which accept modern market trends and simplify the sign-up process.

Use this unique opportunity to present your new or innovative exhibit to your target group. Submit your novelty or innovated product to be presented at the International Industrial Fair in Brno and your participation in the expo can be much more successful thanks to this competition.

All Gold Medal winners will receive a statuette with the competition symbol, a diploma and the opportunity to use the logo in their promotional materials. Thanks to the announcement of the results on the first day of the expo, all nominated and awarded participants have the possibility of marketing use already in the further course of the expo, i.e. at the time of the greatest concentration of target groups of trade visitors. All exhibits entered will be labelled directly at the stand.

New features of the 59^th edition of the GM MSV 2024 competition

New competition categories

• We are newly announcing only 5 categories in the main thematic units.
• A new feature is the Gold Medal of the Chairman of the Evaluation Committee, which will award an exhibit of outstanding significance in the field of innovation and development among all the entries.
• The Gold Medal for a Lifetime of Creative Technical Work and Achievements in Innovation remains as a special Gold Medal.
• The new categories reflect the evolution of the International Industrial Fair in focus, content and topics.
• The category can be chosen by the entrant, but it can be left to the jury to categorize the exhibit according to the focus of the main innovation of the entered exhibit.

Reducing the administrative burden of the sign-up process

• We have significantly simplified the process of filling-in the Entry Form.
• The Entry Form is interactive and there is no need to print or scan anything. The Entry Form is considered signed by sending the completed Entry Form to the organiser.
• We have significantly simplified and better described the evaluation criteria to be filled in by the applicant.
• Payments for individual exhibits will be made in the week before the fair solely on the basis of the invoice sent by the organiser. We will avoid the cumbersome process of advance invoices and payments.
• All submissions for evaluation will only be accepted in electronic form.

Enhanced communication

• We will enhance the communication of the competition in the presentation of the exhibits entered. If exhibits are entered by exhibitors well in advance, there will be room for exhibit presentation on the trade fair website and on the organizer's social media in the time BEFORE the expo opens.

Competition categories

Exhibitors can enter and win awards in the following categories:

1. Gold Medal for innovation in materials, components and drives in engineering
2. Gold Medal for innovation in production machinery
3. Gold Medal for innovation in technology for sustainable manufacturing
4. Gold Medal for innovation in industrial automation, digital technology and Industry 4.0
5. Gold Medal for innovation in transport and logistics

Gold Medal of the Chairperson of the Evaluation Committee for an outstanding result in research and development cooperation between academia and industry.  

• Exhibits are not submitted for this category; they are nominated by the members of the evaluation committee in the first round of evaluation.

Gold Medal for a lifetime of creative technical work and achievements in innovation.

• Special Gold Medal announced by the expert committee on the basis of a nomination
• The exhibits entered or personalities nominated will be evaluated by an expert evaluation committee, composed of leading experts in their respective fields.

The prize will be awarded in each category. If a category is not represented, the committee may select more exhibits in another category or not award the prize in that category. There are 7 prizes in total.

The promoters and sponsors of the competition are the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and the Brno University of Technology. The organiser is the company BVV Trade Fairs Brno.

  • All entered exhibits will be labelled directly in the exhibition stand right from the start of the expo with the possibility of marketing use already during the fair.

  • Winning exhibits will be presented with a prize, supported by a diploma, which will support the presentation of the currently awarded exhibit at your stand. And this already at the fair, i.e. at the time of the greatest concentration of target groups of trade visitors. The success will be supported by media publicity already during the fair.
• The prestigious MSV 2024 GOLD MEDAL award represents an effective business argument for the awarded companies, which they use effectively in their marketing and presentation materials, on their websites and in their showrooms.

All applicants will be sent a final invoice in the given accounting period based on a duly completed Entry Form. Advance invoices will not be issued.
