Unigen Steel: Heavy mechanical machining with a passion for steel

Unigen Steel Engineering is an Italian company founded in 1988, internationally recognized for the quality of its machining, starting from medium to large sizes, the company process different kind of steel cast, forged, milled and centrifuged and perform turning, milling, boring operation and precision machining.
Unigen provides to the customer a valid consultation in the planning phase. A service of engineers are available to make design of machine or components for which documentation is missing, re-design products for better performance and make revamping to avoid the replacement of the components.
The company gives support sending technical and commercial people to check project and solve problem directly on site and has also, a service of post sales assistance, as perform unique pieces, guarantee flexibility to resolve problem that can arise. Unigen is constantly expanding and looking for new markets through trade fairs and commercial research and in 2018 has opened a corporate company in the USA to improve the sells and develop the market.
In more than 30 years of experience Unigen has manufactured, machining and sold worldwide to steel producers, growing has had the skill to build the means and competence to diversify the activities approaching new sectors such as shipbuilding, energy, cement factories, press, tube manufacturing and others.
The company is divided in 3 area: milling, turning and assembling.
In milling area, the machine arrive up to 50 ton, 10mt in length and 2.5mt in high, 8mt in diameter for the gears divided in segments and for the toothing quality ISO 7 is the best achievable without grinding.
In turning area, the dimensions that can be reached are 8mt in length, 1.8mt in diameter and 32 ton. Unigen has also an area slitted in 2 parts one for assembling, disassembling, maintenance, revamping of machine and material storage and one for welding, TIG, MIG and wire performed in house and under powder is performed by our reliable partners, additional service is balancing.
Unigen, for dimensional control has a 3D Zeiss machine located in a climate room 20° to guarantee the precision of the detected dimensions. On this machine there are two program 3D and gear profile.
In 2022 the company has introduced the station CAD-CAM, that permit to optimize the cost due to the realistic idea of the production time giving by the program create from the designer starting from the dwg to input directly on the machine and also give to the company the possibility to grant to the customer high quality with a competitive price.
