Christmas gifts from nature, agate exhibition and programme for families
November 22, 2024 / 12:40 PM
The International Sales Exhibition of Minerals, Fossils, Jewellery and Natural Products MINERALS BRNO will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 23 to 24 November. The exhibition will take place traditionally in Hall B.
Almost 260 exhibitors from home and abroad will be present at Minerals Brno in November. The full range of products that visitors are used to from previous years will be on display - minerals and products made from them, collectible stones, jewellery, natural products, decorations, home accessories, utility items and esotericism. MINERALS BRNO is a great opportunity to buy Christmas gifts. Buying directly from manufacturers or importers is a guarantee of value and authenticity of the purchased goods.
Accompanying exhibition focused on agates
Minerals Brno is always not only a shopping opportunity, but also a chance to spend a full day of education and entertainment. The focus of this year's accompanying exhibition on the pavilion's gallery is sufficiently indicated by its title "Agates of the Podkrkonoší Region and important foreign localities". The exhibition will be exceptional primarily in its scope - over 1000 exhibits will be available to visitors - but also in the quality of the stones on display, which come from several private collections. In addition to the Podkrkonoší region, the stones on display come from other parts of Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Programme for families
Another opportunity to penetrate the secrets of inanimate nature are the stands with a programme not only for children. A tradition is the participation of the Institute of Geological Sciences of Masaryk University in Brno, which this year will explain what minerals look like in rocks. At this stand, visitors will also have real research equipment at their disposal and will be able to discover what minerals are found in a particular rock using, for example, a microscope. In the paleontology section of the stand, visitors will get a glimpse into the ancient world of cephalopods. At Peter Axin's exhibit, young geologists will try to knock a fossil out of a brick.
Workshops
If you enjoy handicrafts, then you should definitely come to Minerals Brno. Several exhibitors always offer the opportunity to get involved in the creation of jewellery or other stone products. There is nothing more pleasing than seeing the physical result of your own work and being able to use the product.
Entrance to MINERALS BRNO is either through gate number 1 or at Hall E. Basic admission costs 170 CZK, discounted 100 CZK, cheaper when buying via the web. The exhibition is open from 9am to 6pm on Saturdays and until 4:30pm on Sundays.
