The traditional manufacturer of metal band saws also presented a high-speed circular saw for the first time in Hall V. Another machine on display - the 540 HORIZONT X double-column band saw - won one of the three premiere MSV Industrial Design Awards.

The family company from Slavkov u Brna has been exhibiting at MSV since its foundation in 1990 and always presents innovations in its product range. This year they brought a high-performance circular saw that is twenty times faster than a band saw. "We have here the first model that cuts up to 75 mm diameter and cuts 65 mm diameter in 2 seconds. These most progressive circular saws enable production runs of ten thousand and we will supply them to clients throughout our business network in 42 countries, " informed Josef Gonda, founder and CEO of Pegas-Gonda.

Another interesting exhibit was the 540 HORIZONT X double-column band saw, which also caught the attention of the judging committee in the new MSV Industrial Design Award competition. The author of the award-winning design is Josef Gonda Jr., who is the technical director of the company and studied design alongside mechanical engineering. "This machine has a beautiful shape, but that necessarily requires the production technology we have today to maintain all those beautiful, straight, precise lines. The aesthetic quality comes from unification, which is a huge strength of ours, " explained Josef Gonda Sr. who said Pegas-Gonda is the only manufacturer in the world to have a unified line of band saws. "The parts are the same on completely different machines.Because we offer a total of 16 models with the same parts, we can make huge series and use, for example, welding robots, " he explained why his company is unique and now globally successful.

Pegas-Gonda currently exports most of its production, but it does not forget about domestic customers. "MSV is important for us because we sow work here for the whole year.We sell a third of our production on the Czech market, for which this fair is crucial, " said Josef Gonda, who is very satisfied with this year's edition. It is clear that we will be very busy."
