Transport Day at URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup 2024

April 23, 2024  /  10:01 AM

The third day of URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup will be marked by urban mobility, pilot projects and live labs. It will once again bring top speakers and experts from home and abroad, including representatives from the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The programme focusing on transport will run from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Complex solutions in new technologies will be discussed with researchers, city representatives and innovative companies in the block TAMING ADVANCED TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGIES. The topic will touch on both intelligent transport technologies and autonomous mobility. This will be followed by a second session, TRANSFORMATION OF CITY CENTRES AND THEIR TRANSPORT PATTERNS, which addresses the issue through the lens of urban planning. The last block will be the culmination of the URBIS 2024 programme.

Pilot projects and living labs

Under the title NEW ERA OF PILOT PROJECTS AND LIVING LABS, we will take a look under the hood of the emerging tools that will soon enable companies, municipalities and other players in the ecosystem to experiment with Smart City innovations with methodological and financial support from the EU, the state and regions. The PilotInnCities project (Interreg Danube) will introduce agile piloting of Smart City innovations in municipalities. The innovation interplay between the Brno Trade Fairs, the City of Brno and the South Moravian Region will be outlined by the project The Living Lab is coming to life. The day's programme will be closed by a NETWORKING WORKSHOP IN THE NATIONAL ZONE ON THE PILOTINNCITIES PROJECT.
