AOBP: Bridge between the state administration and the Czech defence and security industry

The Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech republic (AOBP) brings together companies engaged in research, development, production, trade and marketing of defence and security equipment, materials and services. It is a non-governmental, independent, non-political, non-profit and non-commercial organisation founded in 1997. Since its establishment, it has been a respected and recognised partner of the Government of the Czech Republic, the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs, with whom it has signed several cooperation agreements.

AOBP maintains partnership relations with other professional organisations in the Czech Republic, such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of Industry and Transport. The Association cooperates with the publishing house MS Line to publish the Czech Defence Industry & Security Review magazine, a media platform for the Czech defence and security industry.

The Association promotes the business and commercial interests of its members in dialogue with the Parliament, ministries and other state administration bodies. It has become a full partner and participant in legislative processes. Through round table discussions or personal negotiations with representatives of the state administration and the legislature, it participates in solving the problems of the Czech defence and security industry.

The AOBP is the main point of contact for similar foreign institutions and helps companies from all over the world to find suitable partners in the Czech Republic. Similarly, it serves Czech manufacturers in their search for foreign companies suitable for industrial cooperation.

It supports the efforts of Czech defence and security industry companies to expand into foreign markets. As part of its position, it participates in the pro-export policy of the Czech Republic and tries to influence the state administration authorities in promoting the export interests of its members.
