From street safety to animal shelters - the Municipal Police look after Brno from all sides

The municipal police are inherently part of Brno. Over 450 officers divided into eight districts and four specialised units take care of safety in the streets of Brno.
Challenging training and the latest equipment
In addition to enforcing laws and other legal norms, Brno officers save human and animal lives. They therefore undergo demanding training aimed at coping with every day and crisis situations. There is also modern equipment, including the latest ballistic protection, a wide range of service vehicles equipped for various types of interventions. A dozen officers are accompanied by orderly police service dogs.
Wide range of activities
An integral part of the Brno Municipal Police is also a monitoring centre, where officers monitor what is happening in the city through cameras. Thanks to them, it is often possible to detect offenses or criminal offences in their early stages. In addition, the Brno City Police operates the largest indoor traffic playground on the Riviera, where children and their parents can practice and refresh the rules of the road. Not far from the zoo, there is a shelter for abandoned and stray animals, where the officers of the trapping service take mainly unattended dogs and cats, which are then lovingly cared for by the shelter's staff.

Join the Brno Municipal Police
The Brno Municipal Police is offering the new officers a recruitment subsidy of CZK 85 000, and they will receive a CZK 5 000 monthly subsidy for housing and transport. They have the opportunity to get a service apartment and use public transport around Brno for free. Of course, they get five weeks of vacation, two to four days of indisposition leave, a meal subsidy and pension insurance. The organisation currently pays employees over CZK 3,000 a year for health, sport and culture. They can use a recreation centre in the Vysočina region.
