Vermiculite products are today the market leaders in the field of “preventive fire protection in interior design”. A large selection of various surface structures (tiles, marble, laminates [HPL and CPL], bricks, hardwood veneer, metal surfaces, etc.) and their ease of work with them, they can be cut and processed as easily as wood, allowing for the most attractive designs.

Certification and use in practice

FIPRO® products have been tested and approved by around 25 different international testing institutes for their suitability with regard to preventive fire protection, smoke and gas development and also for materials that are harmless to health. These products do not contain asbestos or fibrous materials. They are therefore harmless to health.

Fire and noise protection is constantly optimized through development. The range is being expanded and further solutions in the decorative area are constantly being developed.

In addition, recommendations and regulations for testing and inspection methods have been laid down in IMO (International Maritime Organization) resolutions. They define the classifications that materials and components for shipbuilding must generally meet. The IMO resolutions were then applied to the use of these products in special applications, e.g. on offshore platforms, cruise ships, riverboats and pleasure yachts. FIPRO materials therefore meet the most stringent requirements for quality, health safety and environmental sustainability.
