JOYTI Steel Industries, an Indian manufacturer of stainless steels and carbon alloys, focuses on the production of carbon alloy bars and stainless steels of many grades. Their most successful product is bright steel bars, producing 2,000 tonnes per year at their plant in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Most of their production goes to the automotive industry.

The 500-employee company holds many quality certificates. It has also been awarded as an outstanding export company by the Indian Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) almost 25 times in its 40 years of existence, which only confirms the quality of the products. They source raw materials for their production in India. The company ship their products all over the world through a net of dealers. The Czech Republic is currently served by a Polish representative.

JOYTI Steel Industries, like all other companies in the industry, is facing the uncertainties of the contemporary world. The administration of the current US President has imposed tariffs on steel and other stainless products, for JOYTI this regulation has affected 10% of their production. The company is of course trying to address this situation and focus on more friendly markets. They have been supplying Western Europe, especially Italy and Germany, for over 40 years. The company sees Central and Eastern Europe as another promising market where they would like to establish themselves.

Another challenge for all steelmakers supplying their products to Europe is the European Union's requirements and regulations towards carbon neutrality and sustainability. JOYTI Steel Industries is audited quarterly by DQS with regard to its compliance with CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) requirements, providing all its European partners with the necessary and reliable data. However, JOYTI itself has decided to go further and plans to achieve a zero-carbon footprint by 2030, which is a very ambitious target.

When COO Aahil Chadha thinks about what the biggest advantage they represent for their customers he says that it's definitely a customer-oriented approach. The company's CEO, Pankaj Chadha, knows their customers personally and places great emphasis on strong personal connections.
