Marta Drozdová sees the world through rose-colored lenses. Therefore, her collection for the 17th International Creative and Textile Exhibition BPM is called The Pink World.

She first studied at a medical school specializing as a dental technician and then followed her studies at the Václav Hollar School of Art with Prof. M. Uchytilova-Kučová in Prague. In 1979 she left the health care sector and her path led her across various fields, but always working in creative positions as a promotion officer for the Central Bohemian Park of Culture, promotion arranger for textiles and clothing or as an artist for the pharmacy service. She purchased a ceramic kiln and began working with clay.

In 1990, she became a freelance artist, expanding rom ceramics to silk painting. Since 2005, she has been dedicated to patchwork and textile art. Her work evolved from classic patchwork to art textile techniques. In recent years, she shifted towards creating unique garments, incorporating various materials, especially wool and silk. She complements these garments, scarves, and wraps with knitted pieces, creating distinctive accessories.

Marta also crafts textile jewelry and, together with Marie Kielbusová, co-authored the book Textile Jewelry and Accessories, published by Grada.

Since 1978, she has exhibited her work throughout the Czech Republic, mainly showcasing ceramics, followed by painted and fashion accessories, in various galleries, including fashion shows.

Since 2007, when the first international PPM took place, she has been a regular exhibitor. Over the years, she has won several awards, including first prize in the ARTYS´S competition for her painted silk creations.
