GLOMEX Military Supplies introduces an advanced modification of the Toyota Hilux, the Chamois, designed to tackle even the most challenging terrain. The Toyota Chamois with a 12.7 mm weapon station will be showcased at the IDET 2025 trade fair, where it will be exhibited at the GLOMEX Military Supplies booth in Hall P.
This vehicle features a chassis raised by 50 mm, larger wheels fitted with 315x70R17 tires, flared mudguards, and an underbody protected by aluminum plates. Additionally, it is equipped with a blackout and night vision system that meets NATO standards.
As a result of the collaboration between GLOMEX Military Supplies (the supplier of Toyota Hilux vehicles for the Czech Armed Forces) and the Military Technical Institute, s.p., another significant modification has been developed—the Toyota Chamois, now equipped with the remote-controlled weapon station ZS-M in 12.7 mm caliber.
The station is fitted with an M2HB-QCB machine gun featuring shock absorption and motorized tensioning, mounted in a weapon manipulator with stabilization. The machine gun's ammunition supply is managed through a high-capacity box with a flexible belt guide. For targeting, the station is equipped with a sensor module that includes an overview TV camera with optical zoom, two targeting TV cameras, an identification camera, a laser rangefinder, and a laser marker. The weapon station is mounted to the chassis hull via a frame structure that integrates the mechanical interface and power supply system.
The gunner operates the system from the rear middle seat inside the cabin, using a control console equipped with joysticks and an integrated display. Firing can be conducted in various modes, including "autotracking," against ground and small airborne targets, primarily in a steady-state mode, with an expected accuracy margin of approximately 1 to 1.5 MOA.
Come and see this vehicle at IDET 2025 from 28 to 30 May.
