PBS GROUP: Innovative Czech Technology on the Global Market

International Success and Growth

A historic milestone in the company's development is its collaboration with American giant Lockheed Martin on the development of the F-35 fighter jet. The recent expansion of PBS GROUP into the American market, supported by an investment of up to $20 million for establishing a North American facility in Roswell in the Atlanta metropolitan area, represents another strategic step strengthening the company's international significance. The new branch will create at least 95 jobs.

The year 2025 is particularly significant for PBS GROUP, as the company celebrates 75 years since the establishment of its facility in Velká Bíteš. Throughout the year, a series of events will commemorate the rich history and current achievements of the company.

Advanced Aerospace Engines for Defence

At the IDET exhibition, visitors will see three cutting-edge engines from PBS GROUP's portfolio.

PBS TJ40 engines are specially designed for small aircraft such as target drones or loitering munition. These compact, lightweight engines provide thrust ranging from 395 to 425 N. They feature easy and quick starting, restart capability both on the ground and in flight, and recovery capability after contact with seawater.

PBS TJ80-120 are compact subsonic jet engines designed for UAV systems, including target drones and unmanned combat systems. They boast an excellent thrust-to-weight ratio (900-1200 N) with a weight of 12.5-13 kg. These engines generate 650 W of electrical power through an integrated generator and offer ground and in-flight start capability and recovery functionality after landing in salt water.

PBS TJ150 are powerful jet engines with a maximum thrust of 1500 N, based on the PBS TJ100 concept but providing 20% higher thrust while maintaining the same outer diameter and weight. They are equipped with an integrated starter-generator for reliable starts and generate 600 W of power. The engine is designed for landing in salt water and offers windmill start capability in under 7 seconds and pyrotechnic ignition.

PBS GROUP continues to push the boundaries of technological possibilities in the aerospace industry, confirming that Czech engineering tradition and innovative approach have a firm place in the global market.
