The trends of decarbonisation, reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint concern all business sectors, including the trade fair business. Therefore, the domestic leader in the modern energy sector is joining hands with the largest trade fair organiser in Central Europe, BVV Trade Fairs Brno (BVV). ČEZ ESCO wants to help the Brno fairgrounds with complex decarbonisation and energy saving projects in the future.

Following discussions with partners, the date for next year's URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup has been set. It will take place in June, similarly to this year's event, with only a one-week postponement.

In the first week of June 2024, URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup took place at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The concept of URBIS was completely renewed this year and proved to be a step in the right direction.

URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup, organised according to a new concept, was held at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 4 to 6 June 2024, with the aim of providing information to local government representatives on the opportunities for innovation and other actors in the innovation ecosystem, as well as examples of good practice.

The panel discussion on the topic of mobility of the future, chaired by editor-in-chief of the Hospodářské noviny newspaper Jaroslav Mašek, featured, in addition to the most competent speaker, Transport Minister Martin Kupka, Traian Urban, Director of EIT Urban Mobility, Innovation Hub East, Martin Russ, CEO of AustriaTech, a representative from Finland Pertti Kortejärvi, CEO of Smart City Innovation Cluster, and Jaroslav Pelant, CEO of Škoda X.

Ministry of Industry and Trade is presenting two major projects at URBIS – the National Consultation Point and Contact Ukraine. The latter was presented on the programme stage with the participation of a number of distinguished guests from the domestic and international political scene.
