Kněží hora Winery – Taste Quality Wines with a Touch of History at BPM
April 26, 2025 / 5:00 PM
Kněží hora Winery is located in Bzenec, in the heart of Moravian Slovácko, and proudly continues the region’s rich winemaking tradition, which dates back to the 17th century. The winery’s name refers to a vineyard once owned by the Jesuits, who were renowned for their emphasis on quality and tradition.
Today, the winery cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards in Bzenec and Strážnice, with the goal of producing top-quality attribute wines. Their white wines undergo controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, while their red wines mature in barrique barrels, giving them richness and elegance. Key varieties include Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay among the whites, and Blaufränkisch and Dornfelder among the reds.
