BVV Living Lab is a new long-term project in the Brno Exhibition Centre, which focuses on co-creation and dissemination of innovations. It is an open innovation ecosystem in a real environment, based on cooperation between research institutions, companies, startups, public administration and users themselves.

The aim of the BVV Living Lab is to test and improve new technologies, products, services or processes under realistic conditions. Key features include:

  • Active user involvement - empowering end-users in the development process to influence the innovation process to better understand customer needs
  • real-world environment - testing and experimenting with new technologies in a real-world environment
  • multi-stakeholder participation - involving technology providers, service providers, institutions, professional and residential end-users
  • multi-method approach - combining technology, psychology, sociology and strategic management
  • co-creation - interaction of proposals with different stakeholder groups
