MSV 2024: Technological innovations, extended exhibition of 3D printing and industrial design

The MSV International Industrial Fair will once again bring together in one place the innovations that are pushing industrial production into a new era. This year, the largest Central European showcase of industrial technologies will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 8 to 11 October 2024.
MSV has long been a leader among industrial trade fairs in the entire region. Its popularity is confirmed by the interest of exhibitors in this year's 65th edition. "We have 12 percent more companies registered than at the same time last year. A number of exhibitors will be presenting themselves at this year's MSV for the very first time, but of course there are also traditional participants and leaders in individual fields. The high interest from abroad is also positive. Exhibitors from 21 countries have already registered, including represented companies from as many as 39 countries and regions," informed Michalis Busios, the fair's director.
To make this year's MSV even more attractive for visitors, the organisers are preparing several interesting innovations. A completely new cross-cutting theme is industrial design, which will underline the importance of aesthetics, ergonomics and user-friendliness in products. The topic of the use of artificial intelligence in industry will be given more space as part of the 5th edition of Digital Factory 2.0. And the presentation of 3D technologies will also be expanded. This time, everything important will take place under the name 3D EXPO in one compact space in Hall A1. For the first time, the traditional trade fair conference dedicated to additive technologies will be held in the beautiful surroundings of the Rotunda of Hall A, which can accommodate 400 attendees.
"We know from research that visitors spent an average of six hours at the last MSV. We are of course delighted with this, but we are convinced that our potential is even higher. This year, there will be so many interesting things in the stands and accompanying programme that it may not even take a whole day to visit," believes Busios.
Six technology fairs in one
Together with the 65th MSV, five more specialised trade fairs will take place, which always return to the Brno Exhibition Centre in even years. IMT will be a showcase of machine tools and forming machines, FOND-EX will focus on foundry, WELDING on welding technology, PROFINTECH will present technologies for surface treatment and PLASTEX is a trade fair for plastics, rubber and composites. According to the number of registered exhibitors, the largest fields of this year's edition will include those that fall under IMT, PLASTEX and WELDING, along with electronics, automation, measuring technology, transport and logistics, materials and components for engineering.
As in previous editions, approximately half of the exhibitors will be from abroad. The largest number of exhibitors will come from Germany and Slovakia and Italy will also be represented in large numbers, while China in particular will be represented from Asia. After three years, the official participation of Japan returns to MSV under the banner of JETRO, in an expanded form with the presentation of 18 companies. There is also continued interest in cooperation from American companies, as evidenced by the announced business delegation from the state of Louisiana. Among the accompanying events focused on foreign trade, the traditional matchmaking Contact-Contract organised in cooperation with the Regional Chamber of Commerce continues. For the third time, the Contact Ukraine project will take place, which connects Czech and Ukrainian partners. The project had its premiere at MSV 2023 and a successful reprise at URBIS The Smart Citi in June.
Solutions for more efficient production
The Digital Factory 2.0 project will take place at MSV for the fifth time and will again show not only how the digitization of production processes is progressing, but also what other possibilities it opens up for the future. This year, special attention will be focused on the use of artificial intelligence to make key processes more efficient and the readiness of Czech companies to deploy it. The traditional venue of the Digital Factory will be Hall F, where visitors will find a thematically structured exhibition of transformation technologies, a digital stage and space for additional talks. The project has once again been supported by the National Centre for Industry 4.0 as a Gold Partner.
We look forward to meeting you at the 65th MSV anniversary.
